.::::: Turtles of the World - Emydidae - Trachemys :::::.
Last update: 25 August, 2004

The sliders in the genus Trachemys is very well known, particularly because of the Red-eared Slider, which is among the best known turtles kept in captivity. This has also caused this species to be introduced to many foreign contries.
